Rev. Emily Hamil Blair Pastor
Pastor Emily grew up in Shreveport, Louisiana and came to know the Lord in college at the Wesley Foundation at Louisiana Tech University. It was there she received her call to ministry, eventually bringing her to Duke Divinity School, where she graduated in May of 2022. She and her husband, Trevor, have a daughter named Hannah. Trevor is also a UMC pastor serving in Kinston and Grifton. Emily loves creating spaces for worship and listening to the movement of the Holy Spirit throughout the Christian community. When Emily is not at church, you can find her with her family hiking, painting, or writing.
George Mewborn Organist
George Mewborn began playing the organ for worship services in the fall of 1970 when he was fourteen; he was recruited to play for the Snow Hill Presbyterian Church when its organist moved to another town. In 2020, George celebrated fifty years as a church organist and twenty-five years as organist for Calvary Memorial. In that time, he has played for thousands of worship services and hundreds of weddings and funerals, but no service is more special than the one planned for next Sunday!
