Local missions include Backpack Blessings food ministry serving seven students weekly at the Pre-K Center; Interfaith food box delivery on first and third Thursdays; Days for Girls “Sewing Saturday” on first and third Saturdays; and Greendale Forest nursing home ministry on second Tuesdays. Interested volunteers may contact Gwen Skinner at (252) 560-7747 for information about how to help. Days for Girls meets on first and third Saturdays beginning January 3, 2026. We hope by then to have a definitive number of kits needed in the Dominican Republic for the March trip.
